David McGill (B.Sc.) offers expert knowledge and bespoke program design to fit clients' specific needs. He gained his Master Trainer status with Premier Global in 2008, following six successful years as a freelance personal trainer. His low key, friendly and thorough approach would be useful to anybody wishing to improve their physical fitness and well-being, for whatever purpose, but his particular expertise also lends itself to addressing more specialised needs. He is able to design safe exercise programs for pre- and post-natal women and his knowledge also covers safe and effective training for people affected by diabetes, arthritis, obesity, osteoporosis, asthma and hypertension. One of David's special areas of expertise is Kinetic Chain Assessment (KCA), a biomechanical analysis technique essentially used by the industry’s leading personal trainers. This highly beneficial method is used to assess muscle imbalances and postural misalignments which can affect many people including regular gym-goers. Such faults are commonly overlooked by those affected and by many personal trainers in the industry which can have long-term health implications if not addressed. David gives his clients sound, specialist guidance based on his knowledge of KCA. Whether putting together personal programs or personal training, David understands how to care for clients' long and short term health objectives no matter what their eventual aim. David regularly undertakes further study to ensure that his clients receive the most up-to-date and effective training techniques available. Rather than methods based on fad or fashion, David’s training techniques are always functional and effective. He has contributed on an advisory basis towards published articles in national fitness magazines including Zest, Health & Fitness and Ultra-Fit. |
